ProHort Ltd is seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our expanding team.

ProHort operates at the intersection of ecology, arboriculture and landscape development. We deliver high quality, commercially focused consultancy services that support planning applications and development projects across the UK.

This is a client facing role within a growing business. You will be expected to combine technical expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to work confidently to deadlines.

The Role

Based from our office in Stone, Staffordshire, you will undertake surveys across the UK and produce clear, professional reports that support planning submissions.

Working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.

You will be responsible for delivering:

• Protected species surveys including bats
• Phase 1 Extended Ecological Surveys
• UK Habitat Mapping and Classification
• Biodiversity Net Gain metric calculations
• Arboricultural surveys
• Soil and leaf testing
• Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments
• Landscape schemes

This is a commercial consultancy role. Our clients are typically preparing planning applications and require robust, accurate reporting within tight timeframes. Confidence, organisation and clarity are essential.
