We provide them with the detailed documentation they require. This can be for a planning application or to assess the causes of damage to property. Alternatively, it could be to present to a court. We also offer a comprehensive landscape design service. This allows our clients the opportunity to take a virtual three dimensional walk through the design before the work on site has even started.

Our clients are at the forefront of everything that we do and we want them to have a fantastic experience when dealing with us. As such, emails are answered between 6am and 9pm throughout the week and telephone calls are answered within 2 rings – helping you feel reassured that we are there when you need us.
All of our designs and report are tailored to each individual client, depending upon their needs and preferences. We will work closely with our clients to ensure that we know exactly what these needs and preferences are, touching base with them regularly to make sure they are completely happy.

Emma Candlin – Head of Operations
As Head of Operations, Emma plays a key role in ensuring everything within the company runs smoothly. She’s responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and identifying new opportunities for growth and improvement. With her strategic mindset and attention to detail, Emma helps streamline processes and drive efficiency across the organisation.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending quality time with her family, socialising with friends, and catching the latest films at the cinema.
Jason Harker – Founder and Specialist Consultant
With 30 years of experience in the industry, Jason has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise. As our Managing Director, he is well-equipped to advise clients on the best courses of action, providing tailored solutions that combine his deep understanding of ecology and horticulture with practical, actionable advice. Outside of work, Jason enjoys unwinding with his wife and two sons.
Ioana Andor – Ecologist
Ioana is a first class graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Psychology and a MSc in Wildlife Conservation. She has been working as an ecologist for the past 3 years, specialising in behavioural ecology. Her favourite UK species is the charming robin and in her spare time she enjoys taking part in environmental work and bird watching. She has worked on dozens of residential and commercial scale jobs, as well as some rewilding projects in her local area.
Annette Lucas – Business Development
Annette’s role is to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and pitching our services to potential clients. She’s also dedicated to building and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing contacts, ensuring lasting partnerships that contribute to the success of the company. Annette’s passion for connecting with people and her strategic approach to business development are key to expanding our client base and sustaining long-term success.
Rebecca Derbyshire – Design & Marketing Manager
Wearing two key hats within the company. Rebecca is responsible for creating all of our CAD designs and landscaping schemes, bringing creative concepts to life with precision and flair. In addition to her design work, Rebecca oversees our marketing department, managing everything from brand strategy to promotional campaigns. Her ability to balance both the creative and strategic aspects of her role makes her an invaluable member of the ProHort team.
Owen Brown – Ecologist
Owen is an Ecologist at ProHort, bringing his expertise and passion for the environment to every project he works on. His role allows him to contribute to sustainable practices and help drive the company’s ecological initiatives forward.
Outside of the office, Owen is an avid sports fan, with a particular love for football. He supports Stoke City FC and enjoys watching the game whenever he can.
Viktoriia Kalinina – Bookkeeper
Viktoriia relocated to the UK this summer. Originally from Ukraine, she holds a master’s degree in law and has a background as a notary assistant, where she worked with complex documents that demanded meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. These skills have been invaluable in her current role, where precision is key in managing our financial records.
Outside of work, Viktoriia has a passion for baking and enjoys completing jigsaw puzzles. Since arriving in the UK, she has discovered a new creative hobby—attending pottery classes where she loves making various pieces, including pots, cups bowls and vases.
Hannah Burton – Ecologist
Hannah is an Ecologist at ProHort Ltd, and she loves the variety her role offers. Whether she’s conducting surveys outdoors or working alongside our fantastic team in the office, Hannah thrives on the balance of fieldwork and collaborative projects. Her passion for the environment and commitment to her work shine through in everything she does.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her two beloved bunnies, Raven and Clover.
Domino – Office Dog
Say hello to Domino, our beloved office Border Collie! With his striking black-and-white coat and boundless energy. Whether he’s greeting team members with a wagging tail, supervising meetings with his keen herding instincts, or taking well-earned naps in the sunniest corner of the office, Domino is an essential part of our team.
His playful spirit keeps morale high, and his occasional zoomies remind us all to take a break and have some fun. Need a stress reliever? A quick belly rub or game of fetch with Domino is guaranteed to brighten your day!
Julie Harker – Accounts
Julie plays a vital role in managing our accounts. With a sharp analytical mind and a passion for numbers, she ensures that financial records are accurate, budgets are maintained, and reports are meticulously prepared. Her expertise in accounting helps keep our financial operations running smoothly, making her an essential part of the team. When she’s not crunching numbers, Julie loves spending quality time with her two sons and playing with her energetic dog, Domino.
