ProHort provides soil analysis reports and soil testing in the West Midlands, offering a number of differing levels of analysis.

What is soil testing and soil analysis?

Soil Analysis Reports & Soil Testing in the West Midlands

If you require soil testing or analysis for a development within the West Midlands, ProHort Ltd can provide a basic pH and nutrient test or, if you require a more in-depth analysis, we can provide a heavy metal composition analysis or full spectrum test. This identifies a wide range of nutrients as well as any deficiencies or toxins found within the soil.

Soil testing and analysis will also identify any chemicals or contaminants that are present within the soil, analysing the Waste Acceptance Critera (WAC) and how these might affect development plans, bringing your project to a halt. It was also determine the acidity, composite, nutrients and the pH level of the soil.

Our specialists will work closely with you from your very first contact, establishing the type of test and depth of analysis that you require. ProHort offers three levels of soil test and analysis.

The Core Package: You will be provided with a soil sampling kit which you can then use to take the soil sample and send back to ProHort! The sample is then tested and you will be provided with a breakdown of the chemical composition of the soil. This breakdown will be provided in line with the ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards.

The Analytical Package: If you need more than just a chemical breakdown of the soil, the analytical package allows you to take your own soil sample, test the soil and then analyse the results compared to accepted levels or Waste Acceptance Criteria. Recommendations on any required remediation will also be offered.

The Comprehensive Package: The comprehensive package means that our consultants will visit your site in the West Midlands to take soil samples. Whilst on site, the consultants will complete a visual assessment of the area in order to assess whether there any signs of alternative factors that contribute to the soil conditions. The soil test and analysis shall be conducted, providing you with an analysis of the results compared to accepted levels and our consultants recommendations to mitigate any issues, including any issues resulting from alternative factors on site.

When you are planting on a site that has previously been used for industrial purposes within the West Midlands, you will also need to obtain a soil analysis. By combining both a planting plan and soil testing, the composition of the soil can be reflected in the planting plan, ensuring any plants are suitable for the soil type.
