We provide a wide range of options as a part of our soil analysis service. As standard, our customers go for the Broad Spectrum (BS), Heavy Metal Contamination (SA8a) or Total Nutrient Content (TNC) tests. Your specific requirements will need to be reviewed to ensure that the selected test includes the necessary analysis.
We can provide a range of tests that analyse the organic compounds found within the soil. These include:

We also provide tests that identify the nutrient content and composition of the soil, including any metals or contaminants. Additional testing can identify other characteristics such as the acidity and pH level of the soil.

ProHort Limited is available for Contaminated Land Remediation & Excavation related testing. A WAC test is required for all excavation and removal projects. Please see additional information relating to WAC testing below:
WAC testing is a mandatory test used to identify whether the soil or material will be accepted by a specific type of landfill site. This can include the level of contamination that could potentially leach into the surrounding landscape and water. It will also include how much organic material is present and to test for key contaminants.
WAC testing is available from £376.
Our Standard Waster Classification Suite, includes chemical testing for metals, Chromium, pH, PAH (EPA16 and Oil8,) VPH (>C5-C10 and >C25-C40) and Asbestos. The test also includes a Chromatogram where a total of C5-C40 exceeds 500mg/kg. The Full Suite Test, includes Inert + Metals with Stage One Leachate testing.

ProHort can offer a wide variety of pressure testing to meet the needs of your development or project.
Pressure testing allows you to ensure that the soil is structurally sound enough to support the weight of structures during your development. ProHort can also offer the Californian Bearing Ratio (CBR) test. As with our chemical testing, please do contact us to discuss your requirements so we can ensure we compile exactly what you need.
The attached tests can be used to test soil for heavy metals (e.g. Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead etc.) and hydrocarbons (e.g. petrol and diesel), as well as other contaminants like Cyanide, Asbestos, Pesticides and E. coli, which can be assessed against screening values to determine whether your land is contaminated.”
