We have a variety of different qualifications and accreditations, giving you peace of mind and making us a reputable and qualified company to produce any documents you need.
All of our on-site staff have PA1, PA6 and PA6AW qualifications. PA1 gives our employees the basic knowledge of legislation for pesticides. PA6 is needed for anyone wishing to apply pesticides using a handheld lance or knapsack sprayer. PA6AW is needed for anyone wishing to spray in or near water. This means that all of our staff have the correct knowledge and skills to use any chemicals required to treat invasive weeds.
The Property Care Association promote high standards of professionalism and expertise within the property industry. There are strict guidelines to be a member of the PCA. The Property Care Association have an Invasive Weed Control group and this includes leading industry experts who have formulated to the strict criteria for PCA membership. The PCA dedicate a vast amount of time to researching Invasive Weeds. Our Co-founder and Specialist Consultant, Jason Harker, is a PCA Certified Surveyor of Japanese Knotweed.
All of our Ecologists, along with our Managing Director, Mr. Harker, are full members of CIEEM.
The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management is the professional body which represents and supports ecologists and environmental managers, mainly in the United Kingdom but increasingly in Ireland and mainland Europe, and the rest of the world. CIEEM’s vision is of a healthy natural environment for the benefit of current and future generations.
The Arboricultural Association is the leading organisation and voice for tree care professionals within the UK. As well as being a membership organisation, the Arboricultural Association is a charity that works to advance the science of arboriculture whilst raising awareness and knowledge of tree care.
ProHort’s expert arboriculturist is an Arboricultural Association qualified tree surveyor.
Responsible Body:
A responsible body is accountable for adhering to environmental laws, promoting sustainability, protecting ecosystems, and following ethical practices in conservation and habitat management. As a Responsible Body, ProHort EcoShield can enter into conservation covenants with landowners and developers. Conservation covenants are legally binding agreements that are designed to establish the long term maintenance and improvement of land. Although conservation covenants can be set up to protect land for a range of different reasons, one of their primary uses is to support the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain related to development.
