ProHort Ltd provides soil analysis and soil testing reports in Manchester for any development projects or planting issues.
What is soil testing and soil analysis?
Soil testing and soil analysis can identify any contaminants or other chemicals present that may affect development plans and bring your project to a halt and can determine the nutrients, composition, acidity and pH level of soil on a site.
If you require soil testing and soil analysis for a development within the Manchester area, ProHort Ltd can provide a number of different levels of analysis – from a basic pH and nutrient test to a heavy metal composition analysis, which will identify a wider spectrum of nutrients as well as any nutrient deficiencies or toxins within the soil.
From your first contact, our consultants will work closely with you to determine the type of soil testing required, and the depth of soil analysis that must be carried out for the site.
ProHort offers three levels of soil test:
The Core Package: ProHort will provide you with a soil sampling kit which you can then use to take the sample and send back to us! The sample is tested and you will be provided with a breakdown of the chemical composition of the soil. This breakdown will be provided in line with the ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards.
The Analytical Package: The Analytical package is perfect if you need more than just a chemical breakdown of the soil, allowing you to take your own soil sample, test the soil and then analyse the results compared to accepted levels or Waste Acceptance Criteria. Any recommendations on remediation will also be offered within the report.
The Comprehensive Package: If you proceed with the comprehensive package, our consultants will visit your site in the Manchester area to take soil samples. Whilst on site, our consultants will complete an assessment of the area to identify whether there any alternative factors that contribute to the soil conditions. A soil test and analysis shall then be conducted, providing you with an analysis of the results compared to accepted levels and our consultants recommendations to mitigate any issues, including any issues resulting from alternative factors on site.
It is also important to obtain soil testing and soil analysis when planting on a site if the site has previously been used for industrial purposes. By combining a planting plan with soil testing and soil analysis, the composition of the soil can be reflected in the planting scheme to ensure any plants on the site thrive.
