What is soil testing and soil analysis?

Soil Analysis Reports and Soil Testing Reports in Wolverhampton

If you require soil analysis reports or soil testing reports in Wolverhampton for a development, ProHort Ltd can provide a number of different levels of analysis. These range from a basic pH and nutrient test to a heavy metal composition analysis, which identifies a wide range of nutrients as well as any nutrient deficiencies or toxins within the soil.

A soil analysis can also identify chemicals or contaminants that are present which may affect development plans and which could bring your project to a halt.  It can also determine the nutrients, acidity, composition, and pH level of soil on a site.

ProHort can offer you three different types of soil test and analysis. These include:

The Core Package:

We will provide you with a kit that will allow you to take the soil sample yourself and send it back to ProHort. The sample will then be tested and you will be provided with a breakdown of the soil’s chemical composition. This will be provided in line with the ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards.

The Analytical Package:

If you need more than just a chemical breakdown of the soil, the analytical package allows you to take the soil sample yourself and then send it back to us. We will test the soil and analyse the results in comparison to accepted levels or Waste Acceptance Criteria. Any recommendations for remediation will be offered in the report.

The Comprehensive Package:

The comprehensive package allocates for our consultants visiting your site in Wolverhampton to take the soil samples. The consultants will carry out a visual assessment whilst they are on site, assessing whether there any alternative factors that are contributing to the soil conditions or are detrimental to plant health. The soil analysis shall then be carried out, providing you with an analysis of the results in comparison to accepted levels and our consultants recommendations to mitigate any issues, including any issues resulting from alternative factors on site.

It is also important to obtain a soil analysis when planting on a site if the site has previously been used for industrial purposes in Wolverhampton. By combining a planting plan with a soil analysis, the composition of the soil can be reflected in the planting scheme to ensure that any plants on the site prosper.
