Soil testing and analysis determines the nutrient content and composition of the soil. It also identifies other characteristics such as the acidity and pH level of the soil. This goes hand in hand with a planting scheme as it is important to be aware of the soil composition if you are planning to develop on a site. If a site has been used previously for industrial purposes, the soil may contain contaminants. Therefore, a full soil analysis would be required to determine the level of contamination and other chemicals present in the soil.
There are a range of different types of soil testing and analysis that can be completed. These range from a basic pH and nutrient level test to a heavy metal composition analysis. This identifies a wider spectrum of nutrients, as well as nutrient deficiencies and toxins.. We also conduct Waste Acceptance Criteria testing to identify if waste is suitable for Hazardous, Non Hazardous or Inert waste carriers.
Check out the link above for more details about the types of soil testing and analysis that we provide.
Upon your initial contact, we will discuss the requirements of the soil testing and analysis. This will help us to ascertain the required type of test.
We provide three different levels of soil testing and analysis:
ProHort will supply you with the soil sampling kit. You will then need to follow the guidelines provided by ProHort to take the soil sample from the area in question. The completed sample is sent back to ProHort using our courier service. The sample is then tested, and you will be provided with an accurate breakdown of the chemical composition of the soil. This will be in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Standards.
In addition to our Core service, the Analytical package provides you with a full report. This report explains how the soil analysis results compare to accepted levels. We will also offer our recommendations and any necessary remediation in relation to this.
In addition to our Analytical package, the comprehensive package includes our expert surveyor visiting the property to take the soil sample. While on-site, they complete a visual assessment of the area and ascertain if there are any visual signs of higher concentration levels. The surveyor can also provide you with an expert opinion on alternative factors which could be contributing to the soil conditions.
Upon completion of the sample, you will be provided with a digital PDF report. This report will include the breakdown of the soil contents, corresponding analysis and any recommendations. The depth of details within this report depends upon the type of soil analysis requested.
